Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of refined sugar
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 3 thin slices (about 2mm) of tangerine peel, without pith or seeds
- 2 and 1/2 cups of water
- /2 cup of pineapple chunks
- /2 cup of apple chunks (Gala or Fuji)
Steps
- Step 1: In a high saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat, being careful not to burn it. 
- Step 2: Add the cloves, star anise, ginger, tangerine peel, and water. Add the pineapple and apple, and bring to a boil. 
- Step 3: After boiling, count 2 minutes and then turn off. Serve hot and it's ready. 
Tips
- 1: If you want to make the recipe without fruits, you can do so, but you should increase the amount of sugar. 
- 2: You can use refined sugar, crystallized sugar, or brown sugar. 
- 3: Instead of star anise, you can use cinnamon sticks.
